Vidyamuthy started his career in the financial markets as a Risk Analyst/Quant at RBC Dominion Securities, where he was responsible for the evaluation of various risk metrics for their prop trading division consisting of Index-Arb, Stat-Arb, Risk –Arb and Structured product desks. Subsequently as a member of the quant group at UBS Warburg, he built custom trading and execution strategies for their US equity desk. More recently his experience includes the evaluation of trading strategies and and valuation models at JP Morgan Fleming and AllianceBernstein.

With more than 10 years of experience in the markets, he is author of the book “Pairs Trading : Quantitative Methods and Analysis” published by Wiley. Vidyamurthy has a Masters degree from the Courant Institute of Mathematics NYU and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore.
