NBFCs – The Next Frontier

For decades, India has been a bastion of potential opportunity for investors: an emerging economy with an educated, English-speaking labor force; a rapidly growing value-added service and manufacturing center and, from an investing perspective, a vast and growing middle class of earners that has been a target for companies from all around the world.

Consistently holding the economy back, however, has been two things: decisive leadership and meaningful reform. With various governments operating in a one-step-forward, two-steps-back fashion that has made meaningful administrative and structural reforms difficult to implement, investors time and again have been disappointed by lack of administrative follow-through.
